President Taye Atske Selassie of Ethiopia has issued a powerful call for national unity and development, urging citizens to build a "prosperous, respected, and revered" nation founded on the principles of justice and equality.

The President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) delivered the message as part of his well wishes for the annual Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Day celebration.

In a statement shared on his X account, President Taye extended greetings for the 20th observance of the day, which has been held under the unifying theme: "Democratic Consensus for Multinational Unity."

Highlighting the vision for the country's future, President Taye stressed that Ethiopia’s diverse, multinational unity must be structured firmly upon "the foundations of justice and equality."

He concluded with the directive: "By structuring our multinational unity on the foundations of justice and equality, let us build a prosperous, respected, and revered Ethiopia."
