Dec 10, 2025 251

The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission (ENDC) has affirmed its commitment to an inclusive nationwide consultation, declaring that the process is designed to ensure no region is overlooked.

The participation of the entire society and all regional administrations is considered vital to avert observed disagreements and conflicts once and for all.

Officials stress that the dialogue's inclusivity plays a significant role in resolving conflicts that have occurred in various places and even those that have escalated into warfare.

Professor Mesfin Araya, Chief Commissioner of the ENDC, informed EBC News Ethiopia that the work commenced to conduct agenda gathering in the Tigray region is currently "progressing well."

The Chief Commissioner further disclosed that preparations are underway to hold the Ethiopian National Conference within the coming three months. It is expected that at this pivotal conference, Ethiopians will deliberate on critical agendas and work towards reaching a common national consensus.

Commissioner Dr. Yonas Adaye detailed the Commission's immediate tasks, stating that the primary focus will be on conducting agenda identification and selecting legitimate representatives in the Tigray region. He also indicated that convening the National Dialogue Conference, which is expected to draw the participation of up to 4,000 public representatives, is a key objective.

Finally, Commissioner Yonas emphasized that consultation alone is not the sole solution for resolving problems, adding that work will be done to present the proposed solutions and generated ideas to the relevant bodies to ensure that action is taken and official responses are provided.
