Following the meetings, the two nations exchanged several Memoranda of Understanding, including agreements on customs cooperation and training for UN Peacekeeping Operations.

He noted on social media the "unforgettable"reception and the "remarkable warmth and affection"shown by the local Indian community. He conveyed confidence that the India-Ethiopia friendship would become even more robust in the future.

The visit is seen as a key component of India's outreach to Africa, reinforcing their shared commitment as partners in the Global South.
