Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, alongside First Lady Zinash Tayachew and senior government officials, officially inaugurated the Tulu Arara Integrated Model Village, a project hailed as a significant advancement for the national winter voluntary service program. Spanning 7,000 square meters, the newly commissioned village consists of high-standard housing units, each featuring five rooms including two bedrooms.
Designed to provide 150 citizens with modern and dignified living conditions, the site is equipped with comprehensive infrastructure including internal road networks, a mix of grid and solar electricity, fitness facilities, and dedicated green spaces. Beyond housing, the project introduces a sustainable economic framework by integrating residential life with local production. Residents will benefit from a structured commercial ecosystem that encompasses dairy and poultry farming alongside vegetable gardening, with a direct supply chain established to link their produce to local markets.
