Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed hosted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Wang Yi, reflecting on the decades-long relationship between Ethiopia and China.The Prime Minister highlighted that the bond between the two nations has been recently strengthened following its elevation to an all-weather strategic cooperation partnership.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister and Minister Wang Yi reflected on the enduring partnership between the peoples and governments of Ethiopia and China. They engaged in discussions regarding a wide range of development cooperation issues and reiterated a shared commitment to advancing their mutual development agenda.

The leaders also discussed deepening cooperation in foundational sectors, including the economy, trade, infrastructure, energy, and transportation. Additionally, they explored the potential for collaboration in emerging areas such as e-commerce, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and green energy.
