President Taye Atske Selassie of Ethiopia has met with the Secretary-General of UN Tourism, Sheika Al-Nuaimi, to discuss strengthening bilateral ties in the tourism sector. The high-level meeting, held on the sidelines of the 2026 World Governments Summit in Dubai, focused on deepening cooperation in capacity building, strategic financing, and technical exchange.

According to a statement from the Office of the President, Sheika Al-Nuaimi commended Ethiopia's recent initiatives to expand and diversify its eco-tourism portfolio, noting the country's potential as a leading destination for sustainable travel. President Taye is currently in the United Arab Emirates representing Ethiopia at the global summit, where world leaders have gathered to discuss future governance and international development.
