On the sidelines of the ongoing 39th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held high-level discussions with Professor Jeffrey Sachs and former South African President Thabo Mbeki to address pivotal issues facing the continent.

In a follow-up to their dialogue from the previous year, the Prime Minister and Professor Sachs focused on strategic pathways for sustainable development and economic growth specifically tailored to the African context.

These economic consultations were further enriched by a meeting with President Mbeki, where the two leaders centered their conversation on advancing regional integration and clarifying continental priorities within the African Union’s broader framework.

These engagements, taking place as African leaders gather for the summit, underscore Ethiopia's commitment to fostering both intellectual and political cooperation to drive the continent's long-term prosperity.
