Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has expressed his congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) for the social, economic, and political milestones achieved since the Prime Minister took office.

President Erdoğan shared these remarks today during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Abiy held at the National Palace.

The President, who is in Addis Ababa for an official working visit, stated that he has reached several agreements with Prime Minister Abiy aimed at further strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two nations.

He explained that these agreements encompass:

Infrastructure: Expanding transport networks, including railways.

Industrialization: Construction of manufacturing factories.

Energy: Installation of power transmission lines.

Tourism: Collaborative development in the tourism sector.

President Erdoğan noted that Ethiopia, a nation with a long history of statehood and stable governance is playing an increasingly vital role in regional peace and stability.

He added that Turkiye is placing a high priority on further elevating its centuries-old relationship with Ethiopia.
