Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed received a warm welcome upon his arrival at Dembi Dolo Airport in the Kelem Welega Zone of the Oromia Region. During his visit, the prime minister and his delegation visited a banana cluster farm developed under the Bounty of the Basket (Ye Lemat Tirūfat) initiative.

Prime Minister Abiy said he was encouraged to see farmers working together in an organized and cooperative manner, transforming the area through their dedication and hard work. The farm stands as a strong example of how properly utilizing local land and water resources can create meaningful change.

By applying traditional irrigation methods and making effective use of available resources, the community has built a productive and promising agricultural site. It was especially inspiring to witness how improved road infrastructure is supporting farmers in bringing their produce to market with greater ease. This progress reflects what can be achieved when development efforts are closely aligned with the needs and potential of the local community.
