Special Operations Command Ready for Any Mission Says PM, Commander-in-Chief Abiy Ahmed

The Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) Special Operations Command is celebrating its 65th anniversary with a grand military display.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) stated that Ethiopia is a land of many heroes who have preserved the nation through generations. He noted that over the past 65 years, the Special Operations Command has performed heroic deeds that have made Ethiopia proud, maintaining unconquerable resilience through numerous challenges.

The Commander-in-Chief further announced that, through defense reforms, the Command is now structured for the modern era. By integrating Airborne, Commando, and Special Anti-Terrorist forces and strengthening organization, manpower, and weaponry, the Command stands ready to efficiently execute missions at any time and under any condition.

As the Command marks its 65th anniversary, it has showcased its modern military capacity, personnel readiness, and tactical proficiency to the public.

"Today’s integrated maritime exercises and the military skills demonstrated by Airborne and Commando units have confirmed the high-level competence of our forces," the Commander-in-Chief added.
