Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed profound sorrow over the loss of life and injuries resulting from landslides and flooding in the Gamo Zone of the South Ethiopia Regional State.
In a message addressed to FDRE President Taye Atske-Selassie and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the President conveyed his solidarity with those affected by the catastrophe.
President Putin offered words of comfort to the families and friends of the victims, affirming that the Russian government stands firmly with Ethiopia in the wake of the disaster. He further extended his best wishes for the swift recovery of those who sustained injuries.
