The fourth “Invest in Ethiopia 2026” forum, which has been underway for the past two days, concluded today with the signing of investment agreements totaling $13.1 billion across several key sectors. The signing ceremony held at the end of the forum encompassed major investment deals in manufacturing, agriculture and agro-processing, energy, mining, and other strategic industries.
It was noted during the event that these signed agreements demonstrate a profound confidence among investors in the Ethiopian economy. Furthermore, the projects are expected to contribute significantly to job creation, foreign exchange earnings, and technology transfer. By comparison, the “Invest in Ethiopia 2025” forum resulted in agreements totaling $1.6 billion, and it is worth noting that those projects have now fully entered their operational phases.
The scale of this year's agreements indicates that Ethiopia is increasingly being recognized as a leading investment destination. According to information sent to ENA by the Ethiopian Investment Commission, the forum has proven to be a robust platform for establishing new partnerships and strengthening future investment relations.
