A high-level Ethiopian delegation, led by Minister of Finance Ahmed Shide, held comprehensive bilateral talks with Liu Junfeng, Vice Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), to further strengthen the longstanding partnership between the two nations.
The discussions primarily focused on aligning bilateral cooperation with Ethiopia’s current developmental priorities. The Ethiopian delegation provided an overview of the ongoing national economic reforms and development agendas, emphasizing the critical role of future cooperation in ensuring sustainable growth and structural transformation.
In response, CIDCA Vice Chairman Liu Junfeng reaffirmed China’s commitment to supporting Ethiopia through concessional loans, technical assistance, and capacity-building initiatives.
Both parties reviewed the progress of existing projects and agreed to expand cooperation in several key sectors, including:

Healthcare
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to work in close coordination to translate institutional ties and shared priorities into tangible results. This strengthened collaboration is expected to elevate the comprehensive strategic partnership between Ethiopia and China to a new level.
