Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has expressed his deep sadness over the passing of Ambassador Konjit SineGiorgis, a trailblazing figure who served Ethiopia’s diplomatic mission for over five decades. 

In a tribute to her extensive career, the Prime Minister noted that Ambassador Konjit dedicated her life to diplomacy from her youth through her senior years. He highlighted her historical significance as Ethiopia's second female ambassador, following in the footsteps of Ambassador Yodit Emeru.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Ambassador Konjit will be remembered for:
