Mayor Adanech Abiebie has officially handed over 215 modern residential houses to various vulnerable community members in honor of the upcoming Easter (Fasika) holiday.

During the ceremony, the Mayor expressed her joy at how volunteerism is increasingly becoming a core culture within the city. "As we do every holiday season, today, on the eve of Easter, we have handed over 215 modern homes built through coordinated volunteer efforts," she stated. The beneficiaries include the elderly, persons with disabilities, individuals who have served the nation, and those relocated for development projects. Each home was provided fully furnished, along with holiday gifts.

Mayor Adanech extended her gratitude to the kind-hearted volunteers, institutions, and leaders who supported the initiative. She specifically thanked Oromia Bank for its significant contribution of over 80 million Birr toward the project.

Reflecting on the spiritual significance of the holiday, the Mayor noted that Easter represents the ultimate sacrifice and the good news of the resurrection. She called on residents to celebrate the festival with love and compassion, urging everyone to be a source of joy, peace, and solidarity for those in need.
