Minister of Foreign Affairs Gedion Timothewos held discussions with a delegation led by Khalilur Rahman, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

On the occasion, the two Ministers exchanged views on areas of cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral relations.

Gedion noted that Ethiopia continues to register sustained economic growth and invited Bangladeshi companies to engage in priority investment sectors identified by the Government, including renewable energy generation, agro-processing, the pharmaceutical and medical equipment manufacturing industries, as well as the broader manufacturing sector.

For his part, Minister Khalilur Rahman underscored his country’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations with Ethiopia, particularly in the areas of trade and investment cooperation.

At the conclusion of their discussions, the two Ministers agreed to elevate their bilateral relations to a higher level through enhanced economic cooperation.
