French President Emmanuel Macron has criticized Israel’s plans to expand its military operations in Gaza, calling the move a potential "disaster."
Macron's comments, which were sent to reporters from his presidential office on Monday, included a proposal for an international coalition, operating under a UN mandate, to stabilize the Palestinian enclave.
Macron made his remarks following a strong condemnation from the NGO Reporters Without Borders (RSF).The organization accused the Israeli army of the "acknowledged murder" of Al Jazeera correspondent Anas al-Sharif and five of his colleagues in Gaza, reported France24.
