Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed emphasized that the community must act as a primary stakeholder alongside the government to achieve national goals during a consultative forum held under the theme "Social Development for Nation Building."

Addressing the forum today, which reviewed major achievements in the social sector over the past years, PM Abiy noted that while social development does not yield the immediate or tangible results seen in physical infrastructure, it establishes a sustainable and critical foundation for the country. He remarked that despite resource limitations and current challenges, Ethiopia is being built at a pace faster than many realize, with improvements attempted across every social sector.

Prime Minister Abiy stressed that because much work remains to translate these goals into practice and ensure they achieve their purpose, national unity is essential. He concluded by noting that just as one hand cannot clap alone, the government’s initiatives require the active participation of the community to ensure lasting impact.
