Ethiopian Airlines continues to cement its status as a global aviation powerhouse, securing multiple international accolades that highlight its rapid expansion and commitment to passenger service.

The airline was recently honored by Athens International Airport, receiving an award that underscores its impressive growth trajectory and its strategic role as a primary market connector.

Furthermore, the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) has officially designated Ethiopian Airlines as a Four-Star Global Airline. This prestigious ranking recognizes the carrier’s dedication to high-quality service and cabin comfort. 

In a separate APEX press release, the airline was also lauded for its operational reliability and for setting a benchmark in passenger experience across the African continent.

With a modern fleet of over 168 aircraft, Ethiopian Airlines currently serves more than 60 destinations within Africa and over 145 international locations. This vast network plays a critical role in supporting the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) by facilitating the seamless movement of people and goods across borders.

As it celebrates its 80th anniversary, the airline is not slowing down. After eight decades of leading African aviation, management has unveiled ambitious "Vision 2035" plans to further scale its fleet and global reach, ensuring Ethiopia remains the gateway to the continent for decades to come.
