Mayor Adanech Abiebie officially inaugurated a new eco-multipurpose public recreational park for Addis Ababa today, opening it for public service.
Located in the Addis Ketema Sub-city, specifically in the area known as Asko Addis Sefer, the park spans 30,000 square meters. It has been completed as a beautiful and attractive multipurpose recreational space designed to be inclusive for children, youth, and the elderly, regardless of socioeconomic status. It will serve as an alternative recreational destination for local residents.

The park is well-equipped with high-quality facilities, including a fountain, a football field, a children's playground, an amphitheater, a modern cafeteria, shops, a juice bar, parking, modern showers and restrooms, and spacious pedestrian walkways.
Previously, the site was a waste dump and a hub for illegal activities. Today, it has been transformed into a refreshing, clean environment that offers significant value for public use.
In her message during the inauguration, Mayor Adanech stated, "I entrust you all to make use of this multipurpose recreational park and to take good care of it."
