Amhara, Central Ethiopia Successfully Conclude 7th General Election

Voters across the Amhara and Central Ethiopia regions have marked a significant democratic milestone as the 7th General Election concluded successfully and peacefully in both areas. In the Amhara region, a coalition of 23 political parties hailed the process as a historic victory, crediting the public’s steadfast commitment to democracy and the vigilance of security forces who successfully neutralized attempts to disrupt the polls. 

Council Chairperson Tesfahun Alemneh confirmed that all participating parties in the region are fully prepared to accept the election results in good faith, underscoring a deepening of the region's political culture. Meanwhile, the Central Ethiopia region reported a smooth voting process, noting that minor operational hiccups were promptly resolved through coordinated efforts to ensure uninterrupted access to the ballot. 

Both regional councils extended their profound gratitude to the citizens, security personnel, and stakeholders whose dedication transformed the election into a secure and orderly exercise of sovereign power, marking a collective triumph for the participating communities.
