The Embassy of Japan in Ethiopia has expressed its appreciation to the National Election Board for the significant efforts made in organizing and conducting the 7th General Election held on June 1, 2026.

In an official statement, the embassy extended its congratulations to all the candidates who participated in the election process, as well as to the Ethiopian citizens who were able to cast their votes. Furthermore, Japan expressed its pleasure in having provided support to the National Election Board in order to assist Ethiopia's democratic process.
