The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) has announced that voting for the 7th General Election will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and residents of military camps.
This initiative is designed to ensure that those whose right to vote remains intact can participate in the democratic process despite being away from their home constituencies.
"The Board may facilitate the participation of soldiers living in camps far from their constituencies and citizens displaced from their homes by establishing special polling stations at or near the locations where the voters are residing," the Board stated in its release.
