State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Hadera Abera met today with Mohamed Abdi Ware, Deputy Executive Secretary General of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD). The consultation centered on bolstering IGAD’s regional influence and underscored Ethiopia's unwavering dedication to the organization’s ongoing mission.

During their discussions, the two officials explored avenues to fortify cooperation aimed at securing regional peace and stability. They placed a particular emphasis on deepening integration among member states and aligning their efforts to address complex regional challenges while fostering sustainable development.

Concluding the meeting, Ambassador Hadera reiterated Ethiopia’s steadfast resolve to support IGAD’s wide-ranging initiatives. He emphasized the nation's commitment to advancing economic cooperation, promoting social cohesion, and ensuring collective progress in peace, security, and sustainable development for the mutual benefit of all member countries.
