Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) and the Prosperity Party following their victory in the Ethiopian parliamentary elections.

In a congratulatory message shared on social media, Prime Minister Modi wrote: "I convey my heartfelt congratulations to my friend Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed and the Prosperity Party for the victory achieved in the Ethiopian parliamentary election."

He emphasized that India highly values its historical, multifaceted, and deep-rooted relationship with Ethiopia.

Reflecting on his visit to Ethiopia last year with fond memories, Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed his commitment to the bilateral relationship, concluding, "I look forward to working closely together to further strengthen our strategic partnership and the friendly ties between our peoples."
