Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has announced that Ethiopia is transparently demonstrating its ongoing comprehensive and structural reforms and strongly desires an international partnership based on mutual respect.

Indicating that the entire world is currently watching Ethiopia's comprehensive transformation with admiration, he stated that the government's primary and unwavering duty is to serve the sustainable needs and aspirations of its people.

He also emphasized that the primary goal of the reform efforts is to expand opportunities for citizens more than ever before, as well as to build strong, equitable, and sustainable institutions.

Furthermore, he stated the need to ensure that the institutions and infrastructure being built are capable of connecting regions, communities, and generations in shared prosperity.

He noted that no single generation ever completes the work of nation-building entirely on its own.

Consequently, he urged that each generation have a historical responsibility to protect and refine the valuable assets inherited from the past, while also strengthening the foundation upon which future generations will build.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed reminded everyone that the reform and restructuring work Ethiopia has currently undertaken represents its effort to effectively fulfill this historical responsibility and move forward.
