Prime Minister Sharif initiated the exchange by extending his congratulations to Prime Minister Abiy and the Prosperity Party on their electoral victory, wishing the people of Ethiopia continued peace, progress, and prosperity. Characterizing the relationship between Pakistan and Ethiopia as warm and steadily growing, Sharif stated that he looks forward to working together to further strengthen the bonds between the two nations.

In response, Prime Minister Abiy thanked Prime Minister Sharif, noting that the warm words reflect an enduring spirit of brotherhood. PM Abiy emphasized that both Ethiopia and Pakistan are navigating paths of transformation and resilience, standing united in their commitment to progress. He added that he looks forward to deepening bilateral engagement and advancing the partnership both nations have committed to build.
