Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has unveiled the impressive features of the expansive and alluring Arba Minch tourism project, which is scheduled for official inauguration.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the project was specifically engineered to support MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism, featuring a grand hall capable of accommodating thousands of guests.

A central attraction of the development is a modern, rotating restaurant that extends over the lake and rises above the water. The Prime Minister noted that, apart from the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics headquarters in Addis Ababa, this represents a unique architectural achievement being implemented for the first time.

Situated only five to six kilometers from the Arba Minch Airport and complemented by exquisite landscaping, the project is positioned as a premier destination for both professional conferences and leisure.

Visitors to the region can experience local highlights, including apple cultivation in Chencha, fresh fish from Lake Chamo, and the breathtaking "God’s Bridge"—a natural land bridge connecting Lake Abaya and Lake Chamo.

The surrounding area is also rich in natural heritage. It offers proximity to Nech Sar National Park, home to Swayne's hartebeest, zebras, and diverse bird species, as well as Maze National Park, which features the Bilbo hot springs, buffalo herds, and the rare black-maned lion.

PM Abiy stated that this major project integrates the expertise and refinements gained from the government's previous developments. He expressed his expectation that the new site will become a leading destination, attracting a substantial number of both domestic and international tourists.
