Significant improvements are being made to ensure quality within Ethiopia's education sector. Emphasizing that progress at higher educational levels cannot be effective unless the foundation is strengthened, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) noted a major push in early childhood education that has resulted in the construction of 35,000 kindergartens. The prime minister made these remarks while addressing parliament today.

He also detailed recent systemic reforms, specifically the implementation of a new examination system designed to test students based on their genuine abilities, which he stated is helping to eliminate a culture of cheating.

According to his address, these combined efforts to ensure academic quality, eradicate cheating, and expand educational access through technology are already showing promising results. To further support this sector-wide overhaul, he confirmed that the construction of modern, well-equipped primary and secondary schools is currently underway.
