Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has announced that completing mega development projects, ensuring food security, and building a democratic system will serve as the government's primary focus over the next five years.

Speaking in an interview with OBN, the Prime Minister emphasized that ongoing development and food security initiatives will continue at an even higher standard.

Acknowledging public recognition of the agricultural progress made in recent years, he explained how productivity has surged through expanded irrigation, domestic fertilizer production, modern tractor and water pump technologies, and cluster farming.

He reassured the public that these efforts will be further reinforced to meet the nation's future demands.

Highlighting major infrastructure milestones, PM Abiy noted that Ethiopia is currently constructing a nuclear energy facility for power generation, while natural gas development operations have officially moved into implementation.

Furthermore, he underscored that the massive international airport project underway in Bishoftu will play a transformative role in reshaping both the nation’s economy and global image.

On urban development, he highlighted how city initiatives are making a tangible impact by steering youth away from khat and alcohol addiction, directing their energy instead toward sports and productive endeavors.

Emphasizing the need to scale up these positive results, Prime Minister Abiy reaffirmed that over the next five years, his administration will remain steadfastly focused on core issues that directly improve citizens' lives.
