Ethiopia currently finds itself in a new chapter of growth and civilization. In an era where the world is rapidly advancing toward digital transformation, information technology, and artificial intelligence, our nation is modernizing alongside the rest of the globe, embarking on a journey of idea-based politics and national prosperity. However, destructive forces, unable to keep pace with the times and desperate to drag this bright national vision backward,.still attempt to destabilize the political landscape. In a recent interview with the Oromia Broadcasting Network, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) exposed these "Three Shenes" and laid bare their malicious agenda alongside their failed alliance of destruction.
This trilateral alliance is, at its core, an unholy marriage born out of an inability to win and a total bankruptcy of ideas. Although they differ in name and political posture, these forces are united in action and motive, creating a pact rooted in defeat and mutual hatred rather than constructive vision. Historically, its members shared no common ground whatsoever. One faction is Shaebia, which historically harbored a bitter hatred for TPLF and actively sought its destruction. Conversely, for decades, TPLF labeled forces operating in the Amhara region and the Amhara elite as its primary enemies, subjecting them to severe oppression.
Far from being able to coexist, these groups lacked any ideological attraction toward one another. It is only because the divisive politics they championed for years have lost public support that they have descended into this abyss of desperation, attempting to mask their political bankruptcy. Gathered solely by the vindictive calculus that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend," they forged a superficial guerrilla alliance barely worthy of the name. To borrow an old Ethiopian proverb about things that collapse before they even begin, their grand plot of destruction became a stillborn endeavor because their marriage was built not on the supremacy of ideas, but on a temporary pact of mutual annihilation.
The operational unity of these three "Shenes" is glaringly obvious, defined above all by murder, violence, and chaos. Intoxicated by exclusion and hatred, they go beyond mere intolerance of opposing views, treating the entire population as their enemy. They have made the extraction of cheap political gains from conflict and crisis the very foundation of their survival. Hiding within the trenches of narrow ethno-nationalism, they exploit the public as mere commodities, callously using innocent civilians as human shields and pushing them into the fire to secure their own selfish, factional interests.
Yet, this failed alliance of destruction cannot defeat Ethiopia, because today's Ethiopia is vastly different from yesterday's. Guided by the philosophy of Medemer (Synergy), Ethiopian society embraces its diversity as a source of beauty, marching hand-in-hand in a spirit of unity and fraternity to build national prosperity. In an era where the space for constructive dialogue has expanded and digital transformation is a daily reality, these archaic forces have no place. A nation surging forward through technology and modern ideals cannot be dragged backward by antiquated narratives of hate.
The conspiracy orchestrated by the Three Shenes has collapsed under the weight of their own intellectual poverty and the heightened awareness of the public. As the Ethiopian people choose development over hatred and construction over destruction, the nation's journey toward prosperity remains an unstoppable chapter in history, moving resolutely forward.
