On the occasion of the 1501st Mawlid of the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH), Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed(PhD) called on Ethiopians to draw profound inspiration from the Prophet’s life of perseverance, sacrifice, and selfless service to advance the country's nation-building efforts.

In his holiday message to Muslims across the nation, the Prime Minister highlighted that the Prophet’s historical legacy serves as a timeless guide for shaping generations and pursuing a higher calling. He emphasized that true purpose requires recognizing that one is called to accomplish significant, transformative goals rather than trivial pursuits, urging citizens to reflect this dedication through their speech, work, and daily lives.

Drawing parallels between historical adversity and modern state-building, Prime Minister Abiy noted that the Prophet endured severe hardship, exile, and life-threatening trials to fulfill his divine mission, ultimately overcoming every obstacle through faith and resilience. He stressed that true glory is never achieved without sacrifice, reminding citizens that anyone committed to a great national objective must be prepared to accept not only the honor it brings but also the sacrifices it demands.

Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of sharing a vision with others, pointing out how the Prophet tirelessly spread his message from a small group to the entire world, illustrating the need for collective dedication when working toward shared national development.

Concluding his address, Prime Minister Abiy urged the public to translate these moral and spiritual principles into active contributions toward strengthening the nation. Extending his warm wishes for a blessed Mawlid celebration to all Ethiopians, he expressed his firm conviction that Ethiopia will remain honored, respected, and sovereign through the relentless effort of her children, offering his blessings for the nation and its people.
