Ethiopia’s path to prosperity and regional development success will not be derailed by conspiracies.
Ethiopia is demonstrating its firmly grounded institutional capacity and national unity by ensuring the safety of its citizens, preserving its sovereignty, and driving comprehensive growth.
Since the immediate aftermath of the Pretoria Peace Agreement, the federal government has taken positive steps by establishing an interim administration in the Tigray region, creating broad opportunities for the public to return to daily life and benefit from peace and development.
However, opposing this climate of peace and progress, the illegal and backward TPLF faction, which considers itself a legitimate government, is attempting to prolong the suffering of the Tigrayan people. These malicious actions, however, will not disrupt the nation’s grand journey of transformation.
By conspiratorially dismantling the legitimate interim administration, forming an alliance termed "Tsimdo" with internal and external destructive forces, and taking directives from the Eritrean government, the group is forcibly rounding up youth and sending them to military camps, reflecting its longstanding history of destruction.
Angered by these abductions that have dashed young people’s hopes and torn families apart, many Tigrayan youth are fleeing to Addis Ababa and other regions to save their lives and seek better employment and educational opportunities.
As the people of Tigray seek refuge from this cruel and illegal group, the federal government is intensifying its ongoing efforts to ensure the overall peace and security of the region.
With the people of Tigray and all Ethiopians sharing a common desire for development, peace, and togetherness, the Ethiopian government will steadfastly press forward, countering any disruptive conspiracies to achieve the nation’s goals of growth and success.
