The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa and Addis Ababa University have commemorated the 60th anniversary of the John F. Kennedy Library, honoring a long-standing symbol of academic collaboration between the United States and Ethiopia.
In an update published on its official Twitter page, the U.S. Embassy highlighted the landmark building and its central role in fostering educational ties between the two nations. Speaking at the event, U.S. Ambassador Ervin Massinga affirmed that the United States remains dedicated to strengthening its engagement with Addis Ababa University and other academic institutions in the years ahead.
As part of that ongoing commitment, the United States is providing a grant to support the partial renovation of the historic library, helping preserve the iconic intellectual hub for future generations.
