Ambassador Rodrigo Guzmán of Chile says that the development projects in Addis Ababa, particularly the corridor development are boosting the city's competitiveness and actively confirming its status as a major diplomatic center.
The Ambassador to Ethiopia, the African Union, and UNECA, noted that Chile and Ethiopia share many commonalities, specifically highlighting both nations' strong commitment to environmental protection. According to ENA, he added that Chile maintains connections with African nations through South-South Cooperation.
Ambassador Guzmán recognized Ethiopia as a land of ancient civilizationand acknowledged Africa as a continent rich in diverse resources. He pledged to work diligently to strengthen multi-sectoral cooperation between the nations.
To fortify the cultural links, the Ambassador announced plans to use artistic works like poetry and music. He stressed that enhancing these ties would deepen the overall bilateral relationship and help the peoples of both countries get to know one another better.
He described Addis Ababa as the African capital and a diplomatic hub, commenting that the recent changes have given the city a new sense of beauty and modernity. He concluded that the ongoing development work is increasing the capital's competitiveness by making it modern and convenient.
