Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh stated that the "Ethiopia Tamirt" (Made in Ethiopia) initiative has significantly invigorated the nation's domestic production.
The Deputy Prime Minister made the remarks during a visit to observe the operational processes of manufacturing industries in the North Shewa Zone of the Amhara region.
"We have witnessed the scale of industrial activity in this area," the Deputy Prime Minister said. He asserted that the work being undertaken across various sectors confirms the inevitability of Ethiopia's prosperity.
Furthermore, he highlighted that the peaceful environment in the locality has successfully revitalized the town's productivity. In response, he assured that the government remains committed to fulfilling the remaining infrastructure requirements in the area.
The national movement, broadened under the slogan "Let's buy Made in Ethiopia", has been key to stimulating domestic production. DPM Temesgen noted that this campaign has successfully created opportunities for both investors and new technologies to enter the operational workforce.
Concluding his remarks, he praised the current efforts focused on value-addition and creating products for export. He strongly urged that this work be intensified and sustained going forward.
