The US Assistant Secretary of State, Christopher Landau, has arrived in Bishoftu to attend the 90th-anniversary celebrations of the Ethiopian Air Force. Upon his arrival at the Air Force headquarters, Landau was welcomed by a delegation of high-ranking military officials, including the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Berhanu Jula, and the Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Yilma Merdasa.

The visiting delegation also includes Lieutenant General Dagvin Anderson of US Africa Command and the US Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ervin Massinga. The officials toured an aviation expo organized to mark the milestone and are scheduled to attend the event's grand closing ceremony. The visit underscores the ongoing diplomatic and security dialogue between Washington and Addis Ababa as the Ethiopian military marks nine decades of service.
