The African Union (AU) has commended Ethiopian Airlines for its pivotal role in advancing the continent's integration and development goals. In a recent meeting, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the AU Commission, praised the airline’s "remarkable support" for the AU's Agenda 2063.

Youssouf met with Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew at the AU headquarters, where he lauded the airline's efforts in promoting pan-Africanism on a global stage. He also highlighted its crucial contribution to strengthening economic ties across Africa.

Mesfin Tasew underscored the airline's commitment to connecting Africa with the rest of the world. He noted that Ethiopian Airlines is not only a major player in global aviation but also actively supports the growth of the industry within Africa by training young professionals and assisting other national carriers.

Both institutions have pledged to continue their partnership to boost connectivity and economic integration among African nations.
