Ethiopia's Minister of Defense, Aisha Mohammed, declared that the nation’s success—from modernizing its security forces to the monumental completion of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD)—is a direct result of its unwavering resilience.

Speaking at the "Resilience Day" celebration held at the Adwa Victory Memorial under the theme, "Solid Foundation; Strong Nation," Minister Aisha hailed the day as a moment to not only honor past victories but also to embrace future aspirations. The event drew a host of dignitaries, including former President Dr. Mulatu Teshome, high-ranking military and government officials, and leaders from various security institutions.

"Resilience is the compass that guides us, the power of our unity, and a torch that illuminates our path," Aisha stated. She affirmed with pride that the GERD, a project built through national contributions and without external support, stands as the ultimate proof of the nation's collective purpose and tireless determination.

The Minister paid tribute to the heroes whose courage and sacrifice paved the way for these achievements, calling on all Ethiopians to channel their spirit. She stressed that the day is a pledge to transform every challenge into an opportunity, moving Ethiopia toward a new era of prosperity, dignity, and lasting greatness.

Minister Aisha concluded her remarks by urging citizens to stand together with a renewed sense of hope and an unshakable unity. "A new chapter has begun," she said, "one that will elevate Ethiopia's journey toward greatness. Let us all work with greater resolve, holding a shared vision that our country will shine with resilience, strength, honor, and success."
