Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley Arrives in Addis Ababa for Landmark Summit

Barbados's Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley, touched down in Addis Ababa this morning, signaling a new era of strengthened ties between Africa and the Caribbean. She is in the Ethiopian capital to participate in the highly anticipated Second Africa-CARICOM Summit.

Upon her arrival at Bole International Airport, Prime Minister Mottley was received with a warm welcome from senior Ethiopian officials, including Dr. Ergogie Tesfaye, Minister of Women, Children, and Youth, and Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye, State Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The two-day summit, which begins today, is expected to bring together leaders from both continents to discuss key issues ranging from trade and climate change to reparatory justice and global governance reform. Prime Minister Mottley's presence underscores Barbados's pivotal role in fostering a new and dynamic partnership with Africa.
